With the Fredericksburg 49-38 loss in the Girls State Basketball Championship 4A semifinals to Argyle on March 6, District 28-4A was allowed to release their choices for All-District.
Bandera had four players make the list with one First Team selection, one Second Team selection and two Honorable Mention picks.
Lady Bulldog junior, Brianna Stimmell, was Bandera's First Team All-District selection, in spite of a season ending injury part way through district play.
Kristin Salas, a senior, was the Second Team honoree. Salas stepped up her game for her last season and took over the floor leadership of the squad when Stimmell went down.
Senior Anna Guajardo and Madison Leal, a junior, were named to the Honorable Mention All-District team.
Guajardo and Leal were team players and strong rebounders throughout the season.
Salas and Guajardo will be missed next season, but a helathy Stimmell and Leal will provide senior leadership as the Lady Bulldogs make a run for the UIL playoffs next season.
Just as important is the Academic All- District honors list that signifies performance in the classroom.
Seven players made this list, with freshmen Estella Calderon and Summer Haby, sophomores
Hannah Edwards , Chelsey Graves and Avery Ouellette making the cut.
Stimmell and Guajardo round out the list of Lady Bulldogs with Guajardo making the prestigeous Texas High School Coaches Association All-State team as well.
