ALAMO RC&D is holding two food distributions: the first is Thursday, June 4 and the second is Thursday, June 18, 5-6:30 p.m. Both will be held at Faith Tabernacle, 7789 FM 1283. Senior citizens must be pre-registered at alamorcd.org. It will be “drive and drop” curbside, following social distancing, and by appointment only.
CENSUS is still going on. We can fill it out online at 2020census.gov. If we are not counted now, we will not count in the future and our favorite programs will not be funded adequately.
HILL COUNTRY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, located at 6346 FM 1283, is continuing to provide, until July 23, school breakfasts and lunches, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parent pick-up line, on Mondays and Thursdays. The meals will be delivered to your vehicle and offered freely to those who are under 19 years old.

PIPE CREEK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, located at 1990 FM 1283, is enrolling now for the 2020-2021 school year. Classes include Pre-K through grade 12. The forms are on their website and can be printed and filled out now.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 410, located at 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is now open to members and their guests. They ask for social distancing while there.
The legion is seeking dart teams and players for the 2020 season. All skills are needed. Teams consist of four to six players. Individuals without teams need not worry as the legion will find a team for you.
Sponsored by the Medina Lake Dart Association, Dart Night is every Friday in the Hall. Registration is at 7 p.m. and games begin at 7:15. Entry fee is $5 and it is 100 per cent payout. For information on darts, call 210-289-1461.

OASIS FOR WARRIORS is open for summer camps. The camps provide funding for the support for our wounded warriors. However, the swimming pool needs repair and the Oasis is seeking donations toward that end. They need $3,000 and ask for donations via their website at oasisforwarriors.com.
HILL COUNTRY HORSE RESCUE is now open for the public to visit and feed the horses. Located at 682 Krause Road, Pipe Creek, they will follow social distancing but do not require masks. For more information, call 830-510-6607.
LAKEHILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, is now meeting in the church building for Sunday morning services.
Bread of Life will continue to offer meals “to go” on Mondays, at 5 p.m. They also have some food pantry items for those who need them.

They can accept donations by arrangement. Their proceeds support Pipe Creek Christian School.

On June 3, Medina Lake is at 68.1 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1049.32 feet, which is down 14.88 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 33.6 cfs in Bandera, running 8.85 feet deep at the gage.
