Annual Pet Parade still on
Despite recent orders limiting park capacity, the 24th annual Pet Parade is still set to take place. Sponsored by the Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League, it will be Saturday, July 4, at Bandera City Park.
Admission to the park is free for parade participants and attendees. All people attending the parade are asked to enter through the first gate closest to Hwy. 173 S. near the restrooms.
The parade is open to dogs, cats, fish, horses, cows, llamas - anything you can lead, ride or carry. For those who don’t have a pet - get creative!
Awards will be given for star spangled honors (most patriotic), best of the Wild West, look-a-like, most talented, most original and favorite storybook character. Judge’s pick for best of show and most creative.
There is no contestant entry fee. For more information, call 210-705-4794. Registration begins at 9 a.m., judging starts at 9:30 a.m., the parade starts at 10 a.m.
