Bandera ISD
Coaching staff

Bandera High School has a few changes in their  coaching staff for the new school year.
After heading up the varsity girls soccer program for the past three seasons, coach Westley Miller will now be coaching the varsity boys soccer team.
There will be two new additions to the coaching staff.
Keith Kuenzel will take over as the varsity girls soccer coach and Brady Keane, a 2015 BHS graduate, returns home and will take over the reins as the varsity boys basketball coach.
Kuenzel has previously coached at Dilley and Gonzales.
Last year in Gonzales, he led the Lady Apaches to their second winning season since 2014, going 12-7-1 and making the playoffs where they lost to third round qualifier, Rockport-Fulton, in the first round.
Keane, who played football and basketball at BHS, coached football, baseball and basketball at Winters last year.

All sports
Due to the recent spike of CoVid-19 cases in Texas, many local school districts, including Bandera ISD, are taking a two-week hiatus from Summer Strength and Conditioning and Sports Specific Instruction for all athletes.
Activities are tentatively scheduled to restart on July 13 but that will be under review depending on the amount of positive cases between now and the target date.

Volleyball
Bandera Volleyball will open their season with scrimmages at S.A Southside and Cornerstone on August 7 and 8.
The Lady Bulldogs will have their home debut on Tuesday, Aug. 11, against a TBD opponent. Matches will start with the freshman at 5 p.m. followed by the JV and varsity.
