Back to School Bash becomes drive through event

This year’s annual Back to School Bash-Drive Through Style is set for Sunday, August 2, from  5 - 7 p.m., at the Lakehills Civic Center.
Through sizable donations from BEC and the Lakehills Civic Center, and early giving by churches and individuals, 700 backpacks with supplies have been fully funded. Also, more than 25 awesome give away prizes have also been donated by individuals and businesses including 20 lap-desks filled with goodies, two bicycles, a Vera Bradley backpack, gift certificates from local restaurants and two new Ikea children's desks.
A few important facts about the event:
- This is an entirely drive through event - adults and students will stay in their vehicle the whole time
- A traffic path is planned that will help to keep things flowing on PR 37

- Students must be in the vehicle to receive any freebies
- All items are "While Supplies Last”
- The line of cars will be long and move slowly through the path, but fun and interesting things are planned along the route
- Restrooms will not be open to the public. No concessions will be available on site.
- Safety precautions will be in place to aid in protecting against the spread of Covid-19
- This event has been checked through and approved by all of the necessary authorities.
This event is co-sponsored by Bandera ISD and Hill Country Samaritans.
