Bandera ISD will host the first of three events this season at Bandera City Park this Saturday.
Parents and spectators need to be aware of protocols in place to attend the event.
Bandera ISD will and do follow the guidelines put forth by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) for any event involving the district.
Parents and spectators are requested to have a CoVid self-screen if they want to attend the event. If anyone in your party has any sign or symptom it is requested that you do not attend the event.
Anyone that does attend will be expected to stay masked at all times and practice social distancing. Hopefully, the season can and will continue if everyone follows the recommendations above.
Events have been spaced out to help avoid crowding to an extent via more time between races to allow those to clear the course as needed.
Schedule:
Varsity: 8 a.m. Girls, 8:30 a.m. Boys
JV: 10 a.m. Girls, 10:30 a.m. Boys
Middle school: Noon, 7th Girls, 12:30 p.m., 7th Boys

After a week off, the Bulldogs will host the Llano Yellowjackets this Friday night.
Llano, sitting at 2-0 on the season, are another tough squad on the Bulldogs non-district schedule.
With a season opening 45-16 win over Gatesville and an impressive, 41-8 romp over Sonora, the Yellowjacket offense will test the Bulldog defense often.
"The Yellowjackets are good on both sides of the ball, they have most of their guys back and are using a two QB rotation," Bulldog Head Coach Joel Fontenot-Amedee said.
The 'Jackets have scored in seven out of eight quarters played so far.
Those two quarterbacks, Maddox Green and Case Kuykendall, have passed for 569 yards on 37 out of 57 attempts in two games. Kuykendall, a senior, is also the team’s leading rusher with 132 yards on 12 rushes and has 114 yards on eight catches.
Defensively, Llano is led by a trio of seniors, Aiden Cuthbertson, Cade Ligon and Lance Pierce and a sophomore, Ricky De la Torre, that have accounted for almost half of the teams solo tackles.
Bandera should be much improved this week with some injured players that were missing in action against Poteet returning to the lineup.
"We are playing catch up with just the one scrimmage, but it was a good thing having a week off. We had some really physical practices and there is a lot of improvement for us. We are ready and looking forward for the rest of the season," Fontenot-Amedee said.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 at Bulldog Stadium and tickets are available online only.

Coach Ginger Frye and her charges just can't catch a break. Opening the season in Uvalde on Thursday of last week, the event was rained out before much got started.
"We got rained out before we got to finish, but there were a lot of good things going on and I think overall it was a great first experience for the many freshmen on our very young team. I give a huge shout out to the upperclassmen Bulldogs for helping the freshmen along and making the first match of the season go smoothly despite the weather," Frye said.
Bandera will take on the Boerne Greyhounds on Thursday, Sept. 10, weather permitting.
Volleyball
All three of the Lady Bulldog teams lost to the 3A Blanco Lady Panthers Tuesday evening.
No scores or stats were made available.
Bandera starts district play on Sept. 22 with a road trip to Fredericksburg against the Lady Billies.
