Bandera's freshmen Bulldogs had their home opener this past Thursday when they hosted the Blanco Panthers at Bulldog Stadium.
Blanco scored on their opening drive and kept the lead for the rest of the night enroute to a 14-0 victory over Bandera in a defensive struggle.
The Bulldogs were able to move the ball, but the Panther defense along with penalties and a fumble kept the Bulldogs from scoring.
Bandera was still in a position to tie or win the game going into the fourth quarter down by a 6-0 count.
The defensive battle continued in the final few minutes and Blanco scored on a short rush and a two point conversion to put the game on ice.
The Bulldogs will host Comfort Bobcats on Thursday evening with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
