Nightmare on Maple schedule and information

By Marshal Will Dietrich
City of Bandera

The park will be closed for normal vehicle traffic during the day on Saturday, Oct. 31, however it will be available for people to set up for trunk or treat. Vehicles participating in the trunk or treat will enter the gate at 8th St.

Nightmare on Maple Information / Schedule

From the gate, traffic will be directed to the right, towards the large loop at the back of the park. This is where people will setup up and decorate their vehicles. This will be the location of the nights activities. No vehicles will be allowed to leave once the event starts (this is a safety issue).
Everyone wishing to attend the event can enter at the 8th St. gate and turn left and park, or park outside the fence.

Schedule of Events:
6 p.m. -  EVENT BEGINS (No more trunk or treat vehicles allowed in or out of the park)
DJ E will play music next to the restrooms at back of the park.
7:15 p.m. - Dance demonstration by Ms. Kelly's Dance Studio, located by the DJ in the lighted paved area in front of the back park restrooms.
10 p.m. - Event ends
Unfortunately, in the interest of safety, we will not have food service or bounce houses this year. It was discussed and decided that eliminating these two activities made the most sense for the well being of all participants while still allowing for a scary good time.
The Marshal's Office booth will be located at the beginning of the trunk or treat; we will have hand sanitizer and bottled water. We will also hand out candy that has been pre-bagged in Halloween bags so there will not be any cross contamination from kiddos digging into a large bowl of candy.
We look forward to seeing everyone this Halloween for a family friendly, howling good time in the Bandera City Park.
