Bulldogs have a shot at making the playoffs with a win this week
Team travels to Pearsall Friday for 7:30 p.m. kickoff

Bandera's seniors took to the field for the last regular season home game of their high school careers Friday night as the Bulldogs hosted the district-leading Hondo Owls.
Hondo brought their A game, bringing the heat early, opening up the game with two scores in the first quarter and adding three more in the second on their way to a 56-14 win.
The Bulldogs scored twice on the ground in the fourth quarter, one score by Luke Barnett and another later in the game by Garrett Meier, both on short yardage rushes.
The score by Meier was well deserved as he garnered all of his yardage on that one scoring drive.
"We have talked about Meier a few times this season. He has done all that we have asked and done it right. He was our captain last week and will probably be the captain this week. That was his first touchdown and it's good for him. He is a character and a team guy and I am proud of the way he has played," Coach Joel Fontenot-Amedee said.
Credit the Bulldogs, decimated by injuries and for other reasons, that have stuck it out and soldiered on with many players going both ways and playing positions they have never played before this season.
"We want to give the seniors and the team a good shot at winning this next game against Pearsall. I think we made some steps in that direction Friday aginst the team that is probably going to be the district champs." Fontenot-Amedee said.
Believe it or not, there is still hope for a post season berth for Bandera.
In this crazy season, due to forfeits, some being decided as no contests, the Bulldogs still have a shot at making the playoffs with a win this week over Pearsall.
The scenario is still a bit muddled at this time, but this is close.
Hondo is first, Devine second and if Hondo gets beat by Carrizo Springs this Friday, that would be a three way tie for first with those three at 4-1 in district and it will go to a tiebreaker on points.
That will leave Bandera, Crystal City and Pearsall fighting for the four spot.
Depending on a decision by the District Executive Committee, if Bandera beats Pearsall on the field, the Bulldogs should be fourth, maybe.
Pearsall has one win on their district record but it is a CoViD forfeit, not an actual game.
Whatever happens, whoever is decided to be the fourth seed will face the Sinton Pirates in the first round of the playoffs.
Speaking of Pearsall, they are big up front with a good running back, playing the same type of offense that earlier opponents Blanco and Comfort run.
"Their record isn't indicative of their team, they are better than the scores show," Fontenot-Amedee said.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Pearsall for this, maybe, last game of the season.
