Fall festivities at the Frontier Times Museum

Get out and enjoy the autumn season at the Frontier Times Museum this weekend. On Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21, the museum will host a storage sale; on Sunday, Nov. 23, the museum’s 4th Sunday Jamboree will take place.
Get an early start on your Christmas shopping when the museum cleans out its storage room to sell a unique blend of artwork, household items, decorative items and Christmas decorations.
“The museum has an off-site storage area that over the years has become overflowing,” museum Director Rebecca Norton said. “We have original artwork left over from our Jailhouse Art Shows, vintage treasures and vintage clothing, folk art, tons of Christmas decorations, and anything else you can find in a museum’s attic.”
The sale will take place on the museum grounds on both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We have to make room in our storage areas so everything will be priced to sale,” Norton said. “This is the perfect opportunity to buy a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift for that person on your list that seems to have everything.”
Come back on Sunday afternoon, when the museum’s monthly musical program, 4th Sunday Jamboree, happens from 1 - 4 pm. This free family-friendly program features local musicians picking and singing. This month’s musical host will be David Wayne. Bring your lawn chair and get ready to hear some excellent local music. The museum will also be open during the program with no admission charge.
The Frontier Times Museum is located at 510 13th Street, Bandera, Texas. For more information, call 830-796-3864 or visit www.frontiertimesmuseum.org.
