City of Bandera accepting applications for director on Economic Development Corporation

The City of Bandera is calling for applicants to serve on the Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
The members of the city’s boards and commissions are residents who volunteer their time, experience and knowledge. Appointments are for one or two-year terms, depending on the board, and each board or commission usually meets once a month on weeknights.
The EDC is composed of seven directors, all of whom are appointed by the City Council for two-year terms. The EDC is charged with the responsibility of promoting economic development and advising City Council with regard to incentives as they relate to the city’s development within the commercial and industrial districts. All policy efforts of the EDC are designed to help strengthen and diversify the local economy.
The EDC meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Bandera City Hall, 511 Main Street, Bandera.
Applications are available on the website at www.cityofbandera.org or a hard copy can be picked up at City Hall. Completed applications can be returned to the City Secretary’s office.
