Until further notice, the Bandera City Hall lobby will remain closed to the public. Before Thanksgiving, one member of the city staff tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Though the remaining employees tested negative and quarantined over the holiday weekend, city administrators are playing it safe by limiting contact. The drive-thru window is open.
According to reports, the person who tested positive is experiencing mild symptoms.
City Council’s Thursday night meeting will be held at the Pioneer RV Recreation Hall, 1202 Maple Street, Bandera, however, protective measures will be implemented. Masks will be required, as well as six-foot social distancing, temperature screening at the door and the number of people in the building will be limited. Also, no gathering before, during or after the meeting will be permitted.
The meeting will also be on Zoom. The meeting ID is 854 8543 2951; the password is 755011. Please see the agenda at https://www.cityofbandera.org/DocumentCenter/View/2352/----------------------------------------------12-03-2020-Regular-Meeting
According to Bandera ISD Superintendent Jerry Hollingsworth, the total number of confirmed active Covid cases, as of today, is 10 - three at Hill Country Elementary School, one at Bandera Middle School and six at Bandera High School.
The Texas Department of State Health Services, Region 8 reported 19 positive cases countywide, as of Dec. 1.
