The Bandera Library
For the month of December, the Bandera Library has set up an Adopt-A-Book tree to allow patrons to adopt books for the library. These can be children’s book to adult fiction novels. Use the season of giving to add to your local library’s book collection.
A quick reminder: We will be closed for the Christmas holiday from Dec. 24 – 27, and will resume regular hours on the 28th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We have also reopened our Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The How Not to Diet Cookbook takes a new approach to dieting advice with suggestions on helpful podcasts, videos and blogs and shares the science behind long-term weight loss. Author Michael Greger, M.D., FACLM hit the bestseller list with How Not to Die and his website nutritionfacts.org went viral with the purpose to educate the public on what healthy eating looks like and connect them with their community through mindful dieting. The book is on its way to be revolutionary in the cookbook industry with new, innovative tips on losing weight and is designed to be incredible effective and versatile, made for everyone who is looking to make significant dietary changes and improve their quality of life.
One of the world’s best-selling authors, James Patterson, does it again with his new hit NYPD Red 6 bringing a high society celebrity wedding as the focal point of a murder. As the most lavish wedding of the season is underway, a New York City kidnapper uses it to his advantage as an invitation. However, when reality star Erin Easton disappears from the reception, tensions rise. Surprisingly, her dressing room is empty except for a blood-spattered wedding dress. Now detectives must race to search for the missing bride and hope the wedding guests do not become targets of the perpetrator or targets of the investigation.
In her third installment of her Found Things series, New York Times best-selling author Paula Brackston’s third installment The Garden of Promises and Lies promises to deliver. With tales of time-traveling, inadvertently transporting people to her time, and putting her life in danger Brackston takes the reader on a wild journey through time that would make any Outlander fan rejoice. The historical detail, village charm, and plot twists will surely delight fans of this series.
