The Bandera Prophet
The city’s third annual Fish For Fun kids event brought in nearly 100 kids from Bandera and surrounding areas, all eager to hook one of the 578 Winter Rainbow Trout dropped in the river today by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Mutiple organizations contributed to the effort, including Zebco, Eagle Claw, Atmos, Bandera Electric Coop, Hondo National Bank and Mizfitz Emporium, as well as volunteers Deputy Willie Smith and several members of the City staff.
Because rainbow trout are unable to survive in Texas after the winter, fishing throughout the season is encouraged The daily bag limit is five trout.
