Arctic blast continues to batter Bandera

More winter storm warnings have gone into effect as Bandera and the Hill Country batten the hatches in what has developed into an historic week of cold weather.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, multiple rounds of precipitation will be followed by brutal cold over the next several days. Freezing drizzle/rain is possible after midnight tonight, and may continue Saturday afternoon and evening, into Sunday and early Monday, when it may snow.
The hard freeze is not expected to relent until possibly Wednesday for a brief period. Temperatures are expected to plummet to record single-digit lows after an arctic blast blows through early Tuesday morning. Power outages are a possibility, and travel could be precarious if not impossible on iced roads, NOAA predicted.
Forecast temperatures are as follows:
Tonight’s low: 27 degrees
Saturday: 33 high / 27 low, with a 40 percent chance of freezing rain
Sunday: 33 high / 11 low
Monday: 27 high / 6 low
Tuesday: 32 high / 22 low
Wednesday: 35 high / 19 low, with a 40 chance of freezing rain.
