Most of the 17 palettes packed with drinking water and ready-to-eat meals that FEMA delivered to Bandera County on Monday have been disbursed to schools, area volunteer fire departments and other agencies. In Lakehills, Bandera County Emergency Management and the Silver Sage have collaborated to distribute supplies from the Lakehills Civic Center.
On Thursday, Feb. 25, at noon, 250 cases of water and meals will be given out. Order of distribution is first come, first served.
Other areas may contact their volunteer fire departments. For more information, go to www.banderacounty.org/departments/FireDepts.htm.
Water is available at the Silver Sage, and will also be distributed on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, during the food bank distribution at Mansfield Park.
