The Bandera Prophet
Baseball
Trailing 3-1 going into the fourth inning, Bandera had a manageable situation against the Wimberley Texans Tuesday at Bulldog Field.
Things were still positive going into the fifth inning with the same score, but Wimberley erupted for 11 runs in the top of the inning to bring the game to an early close as they held the Bulldogs scoreless in the bottom of the inning.
The Bulldogs are still having a hard time in the field, recording quite a few errors that contributed to many of Wimberley's runs.
Brock Cardenas pitched 4-2/3 innings with Logan Dybowski taking over to retire the side at the end of the game.
Softball
After back to back wins against Davenport and Canyon Lake, the Lady Bulldogs were 2-2 in District 28-4A play as they faced Fredericksburg Tuesday evening on the road.
The Lady Billies scored seven runs in the first two innings and held Bandera to just a single run in the top of the fifth, on their way to an 11-1 win.
Aubrey Mangold pitched five innings and recorded two strikeouts in the loss.
Bandera is 2-3 after the first round of district and were away on Thursday evening at Boerne to start the second round.
