A 72-year-old Bandera woman was fatally shot through a glass door, while she sat in her living room in the Twin Lakes subdivision. The suspect remains in custody at the Bandera County jail on a $1 million bond.
On the afternoon of Thursday, April 22, Antoinette Click was shot in the back of the head while she was masked and receiving oxygen therapy. Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King said she was able to speak to authorities before being transported to University Hospital in San Antonio, where she died later that day.
King said Click had no idea who the suspect was, nor why she was targeted. Andrew Dougherty, 50, of Bandera, was arrested and charged with murder. King said Dougherty knew Click’s daughter, however he said a motive remains unclear.
“This was not a random shooting,” King said. “This was a frail woman.”
