Track

Medina's Joshua Hampton finished ninth at the UIL State Track Championships in the 1A Boys Shot Put.
His best toss of 41-9-1/4, was on his sixth and final attempt.
Hampton, a senior, will attend UIW after graduation working toward a Biology degree.

Rodeo
Rodeo season is upon us and Bandera will host two events in the near future.
The 37th annual Bandera PCRA Pro Rodeo will take place at Mansfield Park Arena over three evenings, May 28, 29 and 30, starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12 and 5 and under are free.
Active and retired military are also free with valid id.

Don't forget the parade uptown on Saturday, May 29 at 11 a.m.
The weekly Riding on Faith Summer Rodeo Series will start on June 4 and run through Aug. 6 at Mansfield Park Arena on Friday evenings. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the action starts at 8 p.m.
The rodeo will feature Bullriding, Barrels, Team,  Breakaway, and Tie Down Roping along with Calf Scrambles and Mutton Bustin' for the young'uns.
Admission is $10 for ages 7 and up and 6 and under are free.
