A body was discovered Thursday afternoon in the Timbercreek subdivision on Hwy. 16. The body was partially decomposed, Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King said, who is awaiting an autopsy report.
“We don’t know if the body is male or female, but judging by the size of the bones we strongly suspect it is a male,” King said.
A caller reported buzzards circling over the area about a week ago, King said, but they thought it may be a dead animal. A resident investigated a little closer and saw some shoes, then called authorities.
King said he doesn’t expect an autopsy report until after the Memorial Day holiday.
