Meals on Wheels drivers desperately needed

Silver Sage has been asking for drivers to do a route and now we are in desperate mode! We need drivers! This route is part of Whartons Dock, and these seniors are some in Bandera County who need Meals on Wheels the most.
The living conditions for some of the clients are terrible. Clients are food deprived. They need our services so much.
One client hasn’t had water since the freeze in February. Another lives in a house with holes in the sides. Several have been known to walk to town because they didn’t have any other way to go to the bank or grocery store. These are senior citizens.
It would be preferable if a man or a couple would volunteer to drive this route, and it takes less than three hours once a week to drive it. Silver Sage provides the vehicle and gas so you don’t have to take your personal vehicle.
Please step up to help those who are in such great need. We are sure it will touch your heart in so many ways!
