Riding on Faith Rodeo Report

By Chris Darus
The Bandera Prophet

After two good weeks of Bull riding, week three saw rollovers in Open, Novice and Jr. Mini Bulls.
Kelson Shoonover, winner in Novice Bulls last week, took first this week in Seniors and Marlin Galloway III won Pee Wee for another week.
Barrels saw another battle in Open with KD Cortez edging out Cecily Hicks, reversing their finishes from last week and last week’s third place finisher in Juniors, Chloe Simms won the class by .30 over last week’s winner, Rainey Ayers.
Roping had three new winners this week with the team of C. Beach and C. Corwell taking home the big money in Team Perf.   Come on out Friday for this week’s rodeo along with Mutton Bustin' and a Calf Scramble for the kids.
The weekly rodeos happen on Friday through August 13 and the gates open at 6 p.m. with Exhibition and Pre-Show Barrels at 7 p.m. and the Grand Entry at 8 p.m.
