With the start of the school year and cross-country season just about a month away, Medina ISD is already scheduling their warmup events prior to the regular season races.

Bandera ISD
Camps
Volleyball

The Bandera Volleyball Camp is slated for July 19-21 for incoming kindergarten through eighth graders from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
Cost of the camp is $25 and will include a T-shirt. Bring proper footwear and a water bottle.
Football
Bulldog Football Camp will take place on one day only, July 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bandera High School. Incoming K - ninth grade boys and girls are eligible for the $20 camp.

Varsity Football
The Bulldog football faithful will have a lot less traveling this season with just one away non-district game and three road games in district.
The season will open up in Poteet on Aug. 27 and will be followed by four home games on successive Fridays against Cotulla, S.A. Cole, Comfort and Manor New Tech.
The Manor game has been designated as Homecoming on Sept. 24.
A much deserved bye week will be followed by the first district battle, this on the road against Crystal City on Oct. 8, then Carizzo Springs at home, Devine and Hondo on the road back to back and finally, Pearsall at home on Nov. 5 to close out the regular season.
There is no word on preseason scrimmages as of yet.
Rodeo
The Riding on Faith Rodeo series will return to Mansfield Park, after last week’s rainout, this Friday, July 16, and in addition to the regular events, this will be a national qualifier for the
Hooey Junior Patriot, the World's Richest Youth Rodeo. Bullriders, aged 19 and under, are eligable to qualify for the big show in Ft. Worth, so there might be quite a few more entrants than usual. The Junior Patriot paid out $1,039,296.00 in last year's rodeo and this year's event should be even larger.
As always, gates open at 6 p.m. with Barrels starting at 7 p.m. and the rodeo at 8 p.m.

The 5 Minute Ranch Rodeo Challenge will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 at Mansfield Park Arena.
The event, presented by the Ridin' the River Cowboy Fellowship Arena Ministry, will feature teams of four, one of which must be a youth under 16 or a female, competing in timed events that are everyday ranch doings, The top six teams in the first round will advance to the finals.
