Thursday's Bandera Bulldog Football Camp was a bit smaller than previous camps with just over 50 campers, but kids and coaches had a big time.
The two-hour camp was an opportunity for aspiring footballers, new to BISD and current coaches to meet and get to know each other before school starts.
Bandera ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Joel Fontenot-Amadee has just two rules for the camp, have fun and learn something and both participants and coaches did both.
As a bonus, campers got a certificate and will lead the Bulldogs onto the field at the first home game against Cotulla on Friday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
Bandera football is less than three weeks away with the Bulldogs first scrimmage at home against LaPryor on Friday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. and then a home scrimmage against Natalia on the road on Thursday, Aug. 19.
