Rodeo Update

By Chris Darus
The Bandera Prophet

Familiar names once again topped the winner's list for the July 30 Riding on Faith Rodeo held at Mansfield Park Arena.
After taking the win last week in Novice and Open Bulls, Lorenzo Lopez won again in Open.
Gunner Garza, last weeks winner in Junior Open, stepped up to win Sr. Minis and take second in Seniors.
KD Cortez nabs another win in Open Barrels with  Chloe Simms and Sydney Wren continuing to battle it out in Jr. Barrels.
Roping saw Wren, last week’s winner in Break Away with a 3.17, improved to a 3.06 for the win this week.
With just two events left in the season, this Friday night and the finale on Friday, Aug. 13, will have plenty of action. Gates open at 6 p.m., Barrels will start at 7 and the Grand Entry is at 8 p.m.
