Seats available on Bandera City Council, P&Z

Election season has begun for Bandera City Council members. Three seats are open for two-year terms, which will expire in November 2023. The last day to turn in an application for a place on the ballot is Aug. 16, at 5 p.m. Election Day is Nov. 2.
Election packets are available at City Hall, 511 Main Street. To be eligible to run for office, a candidate must be a registered voter and reside in the city.
Seats are also available on the Planning & Zoning Commission. To be eligible, a candidate must be a city resident, business owner within the city or a county resident. P&Z members are volunteers, appointed by City Council members.
Applications are available on the website at www.cityofbandera.org or a hard copy can be picked up at City Hall. Completed applications may be returned to the City Secretary’s office.
