Halloween brings big turnout

The Bandera Prophet

One of the favorite sites at the Lakehills Area Library’s Halloween Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 31 was the Haunted Pumpkin Patch. Not all of the moving figures were human but all made some spooky noises to entertain the youngsters and the young-at-heart.
The costumes ranged from the traditional princesses, Spiderman, fairies, dinosaurs, and variations of Mario Brothers and Pokemon. The most unusual costume worn by a young man was an Angler Fish, complete with ferocious huge teeth.
The library does this for the kiddos every year. They appreciate and thank all the volunteers who help make it possible to provide a safe place for the youngsters to go. They also appreciate the generous donations of candies for this event. They enjoy serving our community in many ways and find this a lot of fun.
The Lakehills Area Library is located at 7200 FM 1283 and provides so much more than books. They invite the public to check them out. They are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call the library at 830-510-2777.
