The Latest at the Lakehills Area Library

Raffle Tickets are here. Boyle's True Value in Lakehills and Bandera has donated a gift card worth $1,000 for our annual fundraising raffle - $5 each or six for $25. Boyle's offers everything you need from lawn and garden, home repair, guns, local food and gifts, and so much more. Come by the library to get your tickets, drawing will be at our annual fundraiser dinner on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at the Lakehills Community Center on PR 37.
The library will be closed for the holidays on Thursday, Dec. 23, through Sunday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 31 through Sunday, Jan. 2. Happy Holidays.
Marketplace Assistance is available now. On Thursdays, from noon to 3 p.m., until Dec. 15, and on Tuesdays, until Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon, a certified navigator from Healthcare.gov will be at the Lakehills Area Library to answer any questions you might have, help you to sign up for a plan, and to help you recertify your current plan. Drop by for assistance or to make an appointment with a navigator.
Preschool story time is every Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. The kids will be entertained by Miss Dianna reading books, and they will get to sing songs and make preschool crafts designed to teach basic skills so that they are school ready. Children of all ages are invited to join us. Weather permitting, we will host our story time outdoors on our back porch.
A free yoga class for all ages happens every Tuesday and Thursday morning, at 10:30 a.m., in the Lakehills Library Meeting Room. Please bring a mat and water.
