The Hill Country Samaritans presented “A Community Christmas” on Dec. 12 in the sanctuary of Lakehills United Methodist Church. A musical affair, it consisted of Christmas songs and readings by local residents led by professional musicians Ben and Meredith Vis.
The Children’s Choir, the Junior Hand Chime Choir, the Hurlin Siblings, the Adult Choir, and the Children’s Chime Choir put on a beautiful performance of traditional Christmas songs.
Readings were done by Andrew Hurlin, Hendrix Rasmussen, and Madilee Hardaway. Rasmussen’s poem, “Snowball,” drew a hearty laugh from the audience.
Ethan Beedle and Christian Vis entertained the large gathering with a special performance, “The Absent-Minded Musician,” with flying costume changes.
Refreshments were available afterwards and Bibles were handed out to all who desired them.
