McCabe Qualifies for State
Congrats to senior Charli McCabe who qualified for her third State Cross Country Championships.
She will run in Round Rock this Saturday, Nov. 5.
Aguilar and Lichtenberg Earn Royalty Honors and the Bobcats are Victorious
Homecoming vibes were strong in Medina the week of Oct. 24-29.
From dressing up as historical figures to being decked out in red, white and blue, the Medina ISD students had a great week of honoring their school roots.
Thursday began the after-school activities with the Homecoming Tailgate party.
The community came together to enjoy barbeque, hamburgers, chili, corn and much more.
This was followed by a black out pep rally and burning of the “M” as Medina High School cheerleaders led the community in cheers to prepare for a successful homecoming game on Friday.
Friday was just as successful as hoped as the junior high Bobcats began the evening with a 46-0 victory over the visiting McDade Bulldogs.
The King and Queen coronation was next on the schedule and when
all class royalty had been introduced, the biggest announcement of the night was made.
Seniors Yadira Aguilar and Trey Lichtenberg were named the 2022 Medina ISD Homecoming Queen and King.
The high school football team followed up coronation with a convincing
64-0 win over the Bulldogs. The win moves the Bobcats to 3-0 in district play and 9-0 for the season.
On Saturday, the royalty was again announced at the annual Homecoming parade and Medina High School alum were able to gather in the school cafeteria for reminis cing about their former Bobcat days.
The Homecoming Dance for students in grades 6-12 Saturday night concluded the 2022 Homecoming festivities.
