The LAKEHILLS AREA LIBRARY will host the 23rd annual Dinner and Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 5, in the Lakehills Community Center, 11225 PR 37. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., to browse the silent auction, and dinner will begin at 5 p.m. The live auction will start at 6:30 p.m.
They are looking for new items for the live auction. If you have something to donate, contact the library.
The meal will consist of Gerry’s Famous Chicken Spaghetti, salad, breadstick, and beverage. Tickets are now available at the library for $10 a plate.
The only raffle item is a $1,000 gift card from Boyle’s True Value in Lakehills and Bandera. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25.
The library is located at 7200 FM 1283. They are open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. Call for more information at 830-510-2777.

LAKEHILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, offers a free community meal, Bread of Life, every Monday on school days, at 5 p.m., currently drive-through.
The TWIGS program for elementary age kiddos is every Monday, after school. For more information, call Kathryn Ivy at 210-748-4890.
The church seeks donations of non-perishable foods and warm clothing and blankets. Donors may just drop the items off at the church, outside of the fellowship hall.
The Wesley Nurse will be at the church to give Covid-19 shots on Monday, Jan. 17 and Thursday, Jan. 21. Call to sign up or ask questions, 830-751-2404 or 830-751-2920.
In addition, the church has begun to offer a Drive-Thru Food Pantry every other Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon, or until the food runs out. Call 830-751-2404 for more information.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, serves home cooked meals every Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. Each week offers a different dish, with sides and beverage for $8 a plate. Desserts are available for a small amount and diners may eat in or take out. The funds raised support the Post for the benefit of the community.
The Post, bar and canteen, is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. All are welcome.
Monday Night Pool starts at 7 p.m. every Monday. No tournaments, no brackets, just playing for fun. The public is welcome to join in.

PIPE CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, known as the Little Rock Church, 8589 Hwy. 16 South, offers their Little Rock Cafe, every Wednesday on school days, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Complete meals are $7 for adults, which includes drink and dessert, and $3 for children. Each week offers a different entree. The public is invited to enjoy the food and the fellowship.

LAKE LEVEL
On Jan. 10, Medina Lake is at 25.6 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1017.31 feet, which is down 46.89 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 15.7 cfs in Bandera, standing 3.44 feet deep at the gage.
