The Lakehills Community Center invited Bandera County candidates to participate in the Forum and Meet and Greet on Sunday, Feb. 6.
Each of the 12 who attended explained who they are, what they stand for, and what they hoped to achieve, if elected. All answered pertinent questions from the audience and from moderator Kelly Beedle.
Hosted by the center, and organized by Medina Lake Betterment Association Board Member Helen Cunningham,
the main room was full and the crowd was eager to hear from the candidates.
Surprise visitor Michael Alexander French, who is running for U.S. Representative in District 21, arrived and was introduced to the audience after the county candidate presentations. He was given time at the podium to explain who he is and what he stands for, and visited with guests during the Meet and Greet afterward.
Early voting begins Monday, Feb. 14. The last day to apply for a mail-in ballot is Feb. 18. Election Day is Tuesday, March 1.
