What a wild ride it has been this past year. While the road has been bumpy, I am so thankful for what the Lord has done and how the Good News of Jesus Christ has continued to be shared with high school students all over Bandera County. One way we are extremely excited this has happened is by adding Eduardo Yermo, an intern with Young Life's Developing Emerging Leaders program, to our team in Bandera County.
Eduardo, a 2012 BHS graduate, is an incredible asset for us to gain the next few years, as we look to grow the ministry in both terms of reach and depth. It has been a privilege to watch Eduardo's boldness for the Lord combined with his Latino culture and fluent Spanish allow him to reach kids myself and our other current adult leaders have struggled to engage with. The number of kids coming to Young Life Club has more than doubled this year and it is largely a testimony to how the Lord is using Eduardo.
This year's Virtual Giving Day will be dedicated to supporting Eduardo and what the Lord has put on his heart to do... to love kids like Jesus loves them, not through programs but through presence. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for Eduardo in ONE day. Any gift big and small will help Eduardo to continue strong through 2022. We have also been given a generous donation of matching funds that will double the first $2,000 given that day.
If you choose to donate, you can give your tax-deductible gift easily online Thursday, Feb. 10 at bandera.younglife.support/givingday. To give offline, please send a check payable to Bandera County Young Life to PO Box 1751, Bandera, TX 78003.
Bandera County Young Life is a local 501c3 non-profit focused on being a faithful loving presence in students’ lives, introducing high school students to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
