Bandera traveled to Wimberley Tuesday night to face off with a very talented Lady Texans squad.
A very strong first half allowed us to take a 1-0 lead into half-time, but Wimberley answered with six goals in the second to take a 6-2 win. Bandera scorers Rihanna Garza and Madi Lewis and Lady Bulldog GK Bietzel Gonzalez had 17 saves on the night.
We will host Boerne this Friday at Bulldog Stadium.

Boys
By Coach Westley Miller
Bandera Boys Soccer moved to 6-3-1 on the season and 2-2-1 in district with a big 1-0 win over Wimberley with the only score a penalty kick by Bryan Gonzalez.
Bandera’s key offensive players included Beto Muzquiz, Felix Diaz, Ethan Brown, Jesus Rodriguez and Ibraham MacNiel, who were able to apply pressure and add pace on the ball for the majority of the match.
Defensively, the Bulldogs were able to collectively keep Wimberley out of the net with some key saves by Cody Jureczki. Impact defensive players include Logan Sadler, Juan Reyna, Zack Lowhorn and Jacob Haas, who managed the Texan attacking players.
Bandera currently sits in the number 4 seed heading into Friday’s game at Boerne to finish the first round of district play.
