This month at the Medina Library

A benefit for the Medina Community Library will be Saturday, March 26, at 7 p.m., in the Rodney Camp Pavilion at the library. Live auction, bucket raffle, wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres. Cost is $75 per person, RSVP by March 16. Dress code is Hill Country chic.
Reading with the Ranger will be Thursday, March 31, at 4:15 p.m. The theme is White Tail Deer. Families and children ages 4 and older are invited to attend this special session.
Artist Spotlight: the library will host local artists and their work. Call the library for more information.

While We’re Waiting faith-based support group for bereaved parents, Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m. Call Lacy Rogers at 830-328-3596.
Natural Remedies: Weed or Remedy or Lunch?, will be Monday, March 7, from 1-2 p.m.
Medina Ancestry Club, Tuesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m.
Medina Book Club on Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m.
Hill Country Needlers will be Monday, March 14, 10 a.m. to noon.
Faith and Freedom on Monday, March 14, from 3-5:30 p.m.
Medina Quilters on Tuesday, March 15, at 2 p.m.
Family Fun! on Thursday, March 17, from 3:30-5 p.m.
Preschool Homeschool Group will be Friday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m.
Life Happens, Methods of Massive Garden Production with Minimal Effort, on Monday, March 21, from 2-4 p.m.
Medina Mom’s Night Out, Tuesday, March 22, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please bring a snack or sweet to share. Non-alcoholic drink and water will be provided.
Medina Wordsmith Writing Club on Tuesday, March 29, at 3:30 p.m.
Astronomy Club on Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m.

Other regular weekly events include Gentle Yoga on Tuesdays at 8:45 a.m.; Chair Yoga every Tuesday at 9:45 a.m.; and story time for the little ones on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Free notary services are available, Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library’s mission is to provide access to the world of ideas and promote life-long learning. It also functions as a community hub—a place for the increasingly diverse population of western Bandera County to come together to share ideas, information, knowledge and experience.
In addition to occasional special public programs the library itself sponsors relating to topics of local interest (past programs have ranged from archaeology to digital photography to rainwater harvesting), it also hosts a variety of meetings, events and activities sponsored by other community groups.
