The Latest at the Lakehills Area Library

By Dianna Landes
Lakehills Area Library Director

The second and fourth Tuesday of every month, from 1-3 p.m., a representative from Centromed/Enroll SA will be at the library to help people register for the Healthcare Marketplace, CHIP and Medicaid. If you have questions about healthcare, you should come by and speak with Mary, you might be surprised at what you qualify for. She will be at the Lakehills Library April 26, from 1-3 p.m.
On Saturday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m., Dakota Kempken will be at the Lakehills Library for a class on plant identification. If you are interested in knowing more about the plants around us, this free class may be just what you need to get you started.
On Friday, May 6, at 11 a.m., the library will kick off its new technology education classes. Lakehills Area Library is working with AARP Senior Planet to bring our community quality technology education for all ages.
We will start with a series of one-hour lectures on technology topics. Melissa will lead the first class on the topic of P2P Payment Services. P2P Payment Services are apps like Venmo, PayPal and Cash App so if you would like to understand how these services work and how to use them, please join us for this free lecture.
Yoga with Jessica every Tuesday and Thursday morning, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., in the Lakehills Library Meeting Room. The class is for all ages, and free. Please bring a mat and water.
Children's storytime is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Come to enjoy preschool-aged crafts, songs and stories.
The Lakehills Area Library is at 7200 FM 1283. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
