With last week’s District 26-4A selections for superlatives, Bandera had a Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, one First Team selection, one Second Team and four Honorable Mention picks. More importantly, 12 players made the Academic All-District list, two made the TASC Academic All-State list and those same two were named to the THSCA All-State list.
“I am so proud to announce the selection of the following Bandera Lady Bulldogs to their post season selections. They worked hard all season to earn these honors and have represented Bandera High School, Bandera Athletics and Bandera ISD with great character and dedication,” coach Keith Kuenzel said.

Baseball
Continuing district play with home and home series, Bandera played host to Davenport last Tuesday and the visitors took advantage of five Bulldog errors on their way to a 14-1 decision.
The Wolves jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and scored in every inning but the third.
“Offensively, the boys continued to improve at the plate, being aggressive and putting pressure on Davenport. Caleb Hohon, Barrett Waid and Riley Haley led the Bulldogs on offense.
We were able to get runners on and in scoring position for much of the night, but just couldn't break through,” coach Cody Fields said.
Hohan and Haley both had two hits and Waid added another.
Thursday, the second game moved to Davenport where the Bulldogs fared better, but wound up on the short end of a 6-3 score.
The Wolves again struck early, opening up a 5-0 lead after two innings.
Dylan Gherman and Randon Wheeler had two hits each and Wheeler had two RBIs.
Haley pitched five innings for the Bulldogs and had four Ks
Bandera will play home with Canyon Lake this week with Friday’s matchup at Bulldog Field.
Softball
The Lady Bulldogs committed six errors in a 20-1 loss to the Canyon Lake Lady Hawks Thursday night in Bandera’s last home game of the season.
Bandera traveled to Fredericksburg for the final game of the season Monday night.
Fred scored 10 runs in the first on their way to a 15-0 win to bring both schools’ district seasons to an end.
