Update: Please see the new donation link:  https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/4586263

Just in time for National Foster Care Awareness Month, the Foster Closet has launched its website, social media page and first major donor drive. Bandera County’s resource center for foster families, the Foster Closet provides basic essentials in a “shopping” environment, where children can pick out clothes, shoes, toys and other items at no charge.
The Closet, located on the grounds of Gateway Fellowship Church on Hwy. 16 in Bandera, carries backpacks and travel bags, clothes ranging in size from premie to 18 years, toys, books, high chairs, cribs, mattresses, sheets, blankets, comforters, bed frame, car seats, bottles, diapers/pull-ups, wipes and hygiene kits - and they’re always in need of donations. They also give shopping cards and gas cards to new families, to help with groceries and initial fuel expenses. In addition to Bandera County, the Foster Closet also serves Kendall, Kerr, Gillespie and Medina counties.
Their Big Give goal is $20,000, and organizers hope to meet and exceed that amount.
