Cowboy and Cowgirl season is well underway in the Cowboy Capital with last weeks start of a weekly Friday night rodeo, the start of a monthly Bull Riding series and the continuation of Barrel Racing.

Rodeo
Results from the opening night of the Riding on Faith Summer Rodeo Series.
The series will run every Friday night, weather permitting, at Bandera’s Mansfield Park though Aug. 5.
Gates open at 6 p.m. with exhibition barrels at 7 p.m. and the rodeo at 8 p.m.

Barrel Racing
This Saturday night will be the mid-point as the fourth race of the season for the “Barrel Race at Mansfield Park” takes place.
This months race, featuring 4D, 3D, and OF, starts at 1 p.m. with a 80 percent payback and $600 added money. There will also be Exhibition Barrels running from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The monthly races for the series will continue on July 16, August 28, Sept. 11 and Oct. 9.
Pre-entries for the this months event can text 830-570-9036 starting on Wednesday, June 8.
 
Bull Riding
The Capital City Bull Bash opens this Saturday night at Mansfield Park in Bandera.
Featuring Bull Riding only, there will be riders of all ages competing in five classes over a five event span. The other four events will take place on July 16, Aug. 27, Sept. 10 and Oct. 15.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with riding starting at 7 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-11 and free for the kids, 5 and under.
