Authorities are working to confirm the identity of skeletal remains that were discovered off Old Loop 173.
According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, a homeowner in the Bandera Pass Subdivision found the remains around 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 3. King said investigators have strong suspicions who the remains belong to, however final determination is pending a DNA analysis.
King said the remains were sent to Central Texas Autopsy, in Lockhart. He could not comment further, other than they would have to await the medical examiner’s report.
