Bandera Athletics Facilities Improvement Team
The third meeting of the 501C3 organization took place Sunday evening.
Comprised of local business owners, parents, and interested individuals, the team is working to help improve things that are not accounted for in the Bandera ISD annual budget.
With most, if not all, general funds slated for increased safety in the foreseeable future, the organization will play a major part in the future of needed improvements in the next few years.
Along with facilities upgrades, much needed equipment also falls under the team's mission.
Some of the things the team has accomplished recently are:

• Assisting with costs for air conditioning the weight room at the practice field
• Joining forces with an anonymous donor to acquire equipment lockers for basketball equipment in the BHS gyms
• Locating and acquiring a newer model (2021) Big Horn UTV for high school athletics to replace the aging unit (2002) that met an untimely demise this past week.

The UTV will be wrapped in Bulldog Blue and Gray courtesy of Buddy’s Septic and Water Well Service.
As always, plans for turf and a fieldhouse at Bulldog Stadium and expanding the girl’s Lockeroom at BHS are on the agenda.
If you are interested in joining the team, contact them through Facebook or online at www.banderaathletics.com
