Authorities have positively identified the remains discovered last week as belonging to Sean Duffy, who was reported missing in July.
According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, the remains were found last Wednesday by passers by who were walking on Red Bluff Ranch Road, near FM 1283 in Pipe Creek. King said the remains were wrapped in a tarp or blanket, then apparently set on fire.
Detectives are reportedly investigating Duffy’s death, who lived in Pipe Creek, as a homicide.
“We’re still trying to track his final days,” King said, adding no suspects have yet been identified.
