Medina Lake Cajun Festival goes digital

The Lakehills Civic Center has announced there are now two ways to purchase tickets for the 41st annual Cajun Festival, held at the Civic Center grounds next month. In addition to purchasing tickets at the gate, there is now the option to pay for your tickets in advance and online.
“We recognize that the world, as well as residents want the ability to purchase their tickets and pay for them online in advance. Last year, we tried this with some success from an external company. This year we were able to have an in-house online solution designed by our own Cajun Festival volunteers that is working effectively. Now we are happy to provide this extra service for our attendees which allows them the option of having the tickets mailed to their home address or picking them at a ‘Will Call’ window at the Festival when they arrive,” Cajun Festival Director Barbara Engel said.
“Our volunteers can pretty much do anything that they put their minds to! In our test marketing, the online ticket purchasing was effective. Rather than use an external company, we saved thousands of donated dollars by completing the online purchasing design with our own webmaster and finance team,” Cajun Festival Publicity Coordinator and Finance Director Ron Clarke said.
The Cajun Festival will be held at the Lakehills Civic Center on Saturday, Sept. 24, and the gates will open at 11 a.m.
To purchase tickets online, as well as obtain information about the Festival itself, go to www.cajunfestival-medinalake.com.
Volunteers are still needed. The Festival is the primary annual fundraiser for the Lakehills Civic Center, which supports multiple programs and activities for the Bandera and Lakehills Community. If you wish to volunteer, please call 830-460-0600.
