Celebrate Bandera Round-up events set for Labor Day weekend

On Saturday, Sept. 3, the Longhorns will make their annual trek down Main Street during the Celebrate Bandera Round-up parade.
Set to begin at 10 a.m., the much-anticipated event will coincide with activities on the Bandera County courthouse lawn, including arts and crafts, live music, gunfight reenactments, Western-themed vendor booths and children’s entertainment, until 4 p.m.
Saturday evening, Mansfield Park will host the Bandera ProRodeo Ranch Rodeo. Events including muggin’(steer roping), wild cow milking and more.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, head back out to the Mansfield Park arena for the grand finale of the Celebrate Bandera Round-up weekend with the Bandera ProRodeo Women’s Ranch Rodeo. Rodeo events include the pony express, cowhide race, muggin’ (steer roping), steer branding, wild cow milking, and the stampede.
Gates open and mutton bustin’ begins at 6 p.m. both nights. Rodeos begin at 8 p.m.
Admission is $10 for 13 years of age and up; children 12 and under are free. For online ticket sales go to: www.BanderaProRodeo.org
