Alamo RC&D, Senior Assistance Program, sponsors the Senior Pantry every month, at The Way Church, 7789 FM 1283.
The next food distribution will take place Thursday, Oct. 6, 1-2:30 p.m. Applicants must be 55+ and can register at the door.
Covid-19 rules apply. First come, first served.
Alamo RC&D seeks donations for the purchase of food. Donors can help on the website: alamorcd.org. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit so all donations are tax deductible.
The Pipe Creek Christian School will hold its third annual Drive-thru Dinner on Friday, Oct. 7, from 5-7 p.m. Beef lasagna plates including salad, garlic bread and dessert will be available for $10 each.
The dinner will be at the school, 1990 FM 1283, Pipe Creek. Tickets are available at the New Life Resale Shop. All proceeds will benefit the school.
The Lakehills Community Center will host a Pre-Election Meet the Candidates and Voters Registration on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. Candidates for Bandera City offices have been invited. Early voting is from Oct. 24 to Nov. 4. Election Day is Nov. 8.

The Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual BBQ Raffle & Market Day on Sunday, Oct. 9. Barbecue plates of brisket or sausage with beans, potatoe salad and a drink will be served from 11 a.m. until they’re gone.
The event will be held at 1331 FM 1283 in Pipe Creek. To-go plates will be available. Go to pipecreekvolfire.org for more information.
Post 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. They serve home cooked meals every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. For $8 a plate, you get an entree, sides and beverage. Desserts are available.
