Bandera baseball team makes finals in mid-season championship

The Hill Country-Bandera select baseball team battled in a two-day tournament to reach the finals in the National Championship Sports Baseball CenTex Elite fall league. The mid-season tournament took place at McAllister and Capitol Parks in San Antonio.
The team, coached by Allen Ottmers, Paul Mangold and Brent Trussell, placed second seed after winning 10-2 against South Texas Tribe and 9-6 against GST Dawgs Selner on Saturday, Oct. 8. On Sunday, Oct. 9, HC won 10-0 in a second match against the GST Dawgs, securing their place in the finals, before falling to the Victus Elite Patriots 9-4 in the championship game.
Players were Hayden Winters, Brady Trussell, Khaleb Ortiz, Payson Mangold, Tyler Langbien, Kenai Jerome, West Cloudt, Benton Cloudt, Finian Butler and James Bower.
