Bandera High School graduate due to set sail with the U.S. Coast Guard
Bandera graduate Jordan Jones completed nine weeks of basic training in the United States Coast Guard, at Cape May New Jersey, on Oct. 21.
Jones was chosen for a two-year special assignment to Cutter Eagle. Currently, she is in dry dock for maintenance but will set sail this summer with cadets from the Coast Guard Academy.
As a crew member aboard the Eagle, Jones and his shipmates will be educating cadets how to sail America's Tall Ship. The first stop this summer is Norway.
