Commissioners reinstate countywide burn ban

Commissioners today reinstated the countywide burn ban, effective immediately.
According to the Keetch-Byram Drought Index, Bandera County is at 584 out of 800, which is the highest forest fire potential. The drought index is based on a daily water balance, and ranges from 0 to 800, where a drought index of 0 represents no moisture depletion, and an index of 800 represents absolutely dry conditions.
