Wharton’s Dock Fall Festival indoor activities set for Saturday
Free vaccines, health screenings, chili and more
The Wharton’s Dock Fall Festival outdoor activities has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather until a springtime event can be organized.
However, the vaccine clinic and health/resource fair will continue inside. Lela Pharmacy will administer all free Covid vaccines and the flu vaccines for insured patients. DSHS will administer flu shots to uninsured patients. Free chili and household giveaways (cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products, sanitizing wipes, hoodies, diapers) will be provided by Silver Sage.
The event, set for Saturday, Nov. 19, from noon to 3 p.m., is provided by the Silver Sage Community Center, VaccinateBandera.org, CentroMed/EnrollSA, The Health Collaborative, TX DSHS, Lela Pharmacy, Arthur Nagel Community Clinic, MHM Wesley Nurse. It will be held at the Walker Community Church (8135 Wharton’s Dock Rd. Bandera, TX 78003).
