Boys & Girls Club to host Christmas Market Day Dec. 10 to raise funds for gift giveaway
The Bandera County Boys & Girls Club is giving away more than 1,600 Christmas gifts this year.
Working on a $0 budget, Joseph Tharp plans to double the 800 gifts given away last year. He has already raised $2,000 in cash and $5,000 in auction items. A fundraising Christmas Market Day at the BGC will be held Dec. 10.
Sponsors include Lowe's grocery store, Coldwell banker, Dollar General, Bandera Marshal’s Office, Bandera Fire Department, Al's Hideaway, Prairie Song Embroidery, Bandera Automotive and Riding the River and Rodeo Association.
The Market Days will be Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Bandera Brewery, from 1:30-6 p.m.
The Gift giveaway will be Friday, Dec. 16, at the teen center, 715 Maple Street, Bandera.
